A quick and handy reference book is “Money 911,” by Jean Chatzy.  This book a compilation of Q&A’s on many of your most pressing financial topics.

For the basics about understanding, money, and investing try “Guide to Understanding Money & Investing,” by Kenneth M. Morris and Virginia B. Morris. This oldie-but-goodie is a picture book for adults, and it is a terrific resource.
